Screen Printing 101

Screen Printing is more than just ink on a shirt.  The process starts with our graphic designers.  They collect your ideas and create a digital image.  The image colors are separated and printed onto a special paper.  The image from the paper is burned, using a special light source, onto special mesh screens coated with emulsion.  The screens and washed and prepped for printing.  Screens are placed in specific orders for optimal image quality and loaded up with ink.  A squeegee is run over the mesh and pushes the ink through specific places onto the shirt.  After the shirt has had all colors applied, the shirt is run through a large dryer to cure the ink.  Your completed shirt arrives at the end of a conveyor belt ready to wear!
